Banana Cake Served Upside Down with Addicting Maple Caramel Sauce🍮🍮😋



 A banana cake is a cake that has banana as its main ingredient along with other standard cake ingredients. It can be made in a variety of ways, such as a layer cake, muffins, or cupcakes.So here are the specifics of a lovely cake I made for you.


Ingredients


100g softened butter, plus extra for greasing


8 tbsp maple syrup


3 small ripe bananas and 1 very overripe banana


200g dark brown soft sugar


4 large eggs


2 tsp vanilla paste or extract


200g self-raising flour


100g pecan, broken into pieces


1 tsp bicarbonate of soda


1 tsp ground cinnamon


200g pot full-fat Greek yogurt, plus extra, or vanilla ice cream, to serve


For the sauce


100g whole pecan


100g salted butter, diced


100ml double cream


100ml maple syrup



Method


STEP 1


oven to 160°C/140°F fan/gas 3 heat. A 20 cm square cake pan should be greased and lined with parchment paper. Pour half the syrup over the cake, swirling it to cover the bottom. Three ripe bananas should be peeled, split in half lengthwise, and placed cut-side down in the tin.


STEP 2


Using an electric mixer, combine the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and overripe banana. Put the flour and pecans in a food processor, and process until the mixture is very finely crushed. Add the yoghurt after incorporating the bicarbonate of soda, cinnamon, and butter combination. Spoon into the tin with caution so as not to disturb the bananas. When a skewer is inserted into the centre of the cake and only moist crumbs come out, the cake is done baking.


STEP 3


Make the sauce in the interim. When the butter has melted, add the remaining ingredients to the skillet with the toasted pecans and simmer for an additional 1-2 minutes. Then bubble for 5 minutes, or until it slightly thickens.


STEP 4


Once the cake has finished cooking, poke it all over, pushing the skewer about halfway into the cake each time. Turn the cake out of the tin upside-down onto a serving platter after pouring the remaining maple syrup over it and letting it soak in for a few minutes. Serve the sauce warm and topped with vanilla ice cream or Greek yoghurt.
